Here’s the very first showreel I have created for myself after 15 years of professional experience as a director. Crazy thing is, I always thought I lacked a specific style, constantly switching techniques and experimenting to make every project fun and fresh, and to serve the brief in a new way. But in putting this edit together, I started to see a pattern in certain aesthetics, movements, and general decisions that I unconsciously go for, even as I always try to reinvent myself on every project.
This video doesn’t contain all the projects I have worked on, of course, but probably only my favorites: U2, Bastille, Lionel Richie, Gerry Cinnamon, Yungblud, and a dash of personal work. In a nutshell, I tried to squeeze 15 years of creative collaboration and learning into 1.5 minutes.
