Cyndi Lauper Farewell Tour

Cyndi Lauper’s farewell tour in 2024 wasn’t just a concert—it was a crescendo, a final chapter designed to be as bold and unforgettable as she is. From the first moment, we set out to do more than just recap her career; we wanted to take the audience on a journey through her world. As the opening notes of “She Bop” hit, our visuals sprang to life with a montage that bridged her music, her iconic cultural moments, and her impact as an activist.

Twenty screens filled the stage, starting with a carefully designed glitch effect—color bars, test patterns—intended to catch the audience off guard, before giving way to a tapestry of Cyndi’s defining moments. The core five screens held the story, keeping it anchored, while surrounding panels played with glitch-inspired treatments and halftone overlays to add depth and energy to each scene.

When it came time for “Shine,” inspired by Sonia Delaunay’s vivid colors and abstract forms (one of Cyndi’s favorite artists), we infused the visuals with those same bold textures and palettes. Paired with a remixed “She Bop,” the visuals built toward a peak, bringing every screen to life just as Cyndi appeared on stage, capturing her iconic spirit in a single, electric moment
